FIVESTAR JUST JACK
Just Jack is out of one of the first litters that I bred. Jack’s dam is Alpenspirit Kiss the Sky (Kyla) from Canada bred by Mylene Turbide in Magog, Quebec and Fourpaw’s Wraped Up in A Bow (Bow). Jack and his sister Diane were originally named by my husband from the (Jack and Diane) song by John Cougar Mellenkamp but we lost Diane at four weeks to aspiration pneumonia. So with only one left, hence Just Jack! This was my introduction to breeding as this was the first litter raised in my house and my lesson that breeding is not for the faint of heart.
FiveStar’s Just Jack is a Billy grandson; his father Bow was a Top Dog and is still alive at 9 1/2 (picture taken June 2011 when both father and son won Awards of Merit at the Regional Specialty here in Northern California.
Jack finished his championship at two years of age (with minimal showing) and has spent the last three years as a couch potato and co-pilot around town. His first re-entry into the show ring was at the 2011 National Specialty in Del Mar, California. Much to my shock, with great handling by RockStar Stacy Slade, Jack made cuts to the final group.
Jack has matured very nicely carrying tributes from both his father and grandfather. Once again Jack showed at the Regional Specialty and Supported Entries (shown by Stacy Slade) and received an Award of Merit, Best of Breed and the Select points towards his Grand Championship. Our goal this year, seeing as we have other family members out showing, is for Just Jack to gain his Grand Championship.
